Elizabeth trained at the Gemological Institute of America in Los Angeles, and became Instructor and Supervisor of the Diamond Course for a number of years. After moving to San Francisco, Elizabeth worked in the Wholesale Pearl Industry grading shipments from the Orient: Hong Kong, Japan, China, and Tahiti. At the same time, Elizabeth was the Director of The San Francisco Gem Lab.

She is presently writing appraisals for Bay Area Jewelry Stores, assisted with her Travel Laboratory, also known as Professional Gem Lab Services, as well as creating designs for local retail stores and her web site.
